The Lines
初六：剥床以足，蔑贞凶。
Line 1 — The leg of the bed is split. The foundation attacked first.
六二：剥床以辨，蔑贞凶。
Line 2 — The bed is split at the edge. Closer to the center. Same warning, more urgent.
六三：剥之，无咎。
Line 3 — Strips it. No blame. The one who participates in the stripping consciously. The only line without misfortune.
六四：剥床以肤，凶。
Line 4 — The bed is stripped to the skin. No more buffer. Direct contact with the dissolution.
六五：贯鱼，以宫人宠，无不利。
Line 5 — A shoal of fishes. Within the stripping, a group that survives together.
上九：硕果不食，君子得舆，小人剥庐。
Line 6 — A large fruit uneaten. The seed that survived. The person of character keeps the seed.
