A 庚 Metal day master whose branches hold the full 申子辰 Water bureau forms it. 庚 generates Water, the Water bureau gathers into force, and that force clashes open the wealth and officer hidden in the facing 寅午戌 Fire bureau, borrowing the clash as its 用. It is sharpest on the three 庚 day pillars — 庚子, 庚申, 庚辰.
The chart's standing and wealth are not present on its face; they are summoned from the opposite Fire bureau by the gathered Water striking across. Like the other clash-summoning 杂格, its whole character is drawing the unmanifest into effect — but here the summoning force is a complete, gathered bureau, which makes the formation grand: it forms toward high honour.
It breaks if Fire or Earth fills the chart or the Water bureau is itself clashed apart. The reading is whether the Water bureau is whole and the Fire side stays empty.
What You See That Others Don't
