The Constitution
A chart given over entirely to Earth. The day master is 戊 or 己 Earth, the branches are heavy with the storehouse earths 辰戌丑未, and Earth so dominates the chart that the reading follows it. This is one of the 一行得气格. 土曰稼穑 — earth is the sowing and the reaping — and its nature is 信, trust, the steady carrying, the holding and the storing.
A clean 稼穑格 person carries that nature whole. Not Earth among other elements, but Earth as the entire chart: the weight, the reliability, the capacity to carry and store and be trusted, all running pure. The self is the single element, fully — solid and steady all the way through.
The formation runs with Earth, with the Fire that feeds it, and with the Metal that drains it cleanly; it is broken by Wood, which conquers Earth and shatters the single-element purity. The reading is whether the Earth dominance is total and whether any Wood threatens to break it.
What You See That Others Don't
You see what can be relied on and what can be held. Where others are pulled by the swings of things, you perceive through a single lens — what carries weight, what stores, what can be trusted to stay. The reading is constitutional. Your chart is Earth entire, so trust and steady carrying are the whole of your nature.
You also carry a centredness that does not tip. There is no competing element on this axis to unsettle it; the steadiness and the reliability run pure. That undiluted solidity is the single-element gift — a character that is all dependable ground, clearly.
What Most People Get Wrong About You
They read your steadiness as immovability, your reliability as predictability, your weight as a lack of fire. The reading mistakes a pure single element for an inert one.
稼穑格 is not someone dull or stuck. It is someone whose chart is given wholly to Earth — and that solidity is a complete formation, not an absence of life. The flatness the world reads is the weight of ground that does not need to move to matter, the trust that does not need drama to be real. You are not inert; you became Earth entirely, and a nature that is all steadiness and storing, to those built from mixed forces, can look immovable. The wholeness is the point — and only Wood, breaking in, threatens it.
The Pattern You Carry
The configuration runs when Earth dominates totally — day master 戊 or 己, the branches heavy with 辰戌丑未, no Wood to break the purity. Then the chart carries the trustworthy, carrying, storing nature whole, running with Earth, the Fire that feeds it, and the Metal that drains it cleanly.
The trap is Wood breaking in. Wood conquers Earth, and the single-element formation is fragile at its purity — a Wood stem or a Wood luck cycle splits the dominance and turns the steady ground to conflict. The work is to keep the formation pure and to recognize the Wood that breaks it: the single element thrives by following its steady, carrying nature and is endangered only by the force that breaks it open.
Where This Shows Up
In work, you belong where trust, steadiness, and the carrying of weight are the assets — roles that rely on a dependable center, the keeping and storing of what matters, the slow and reliable building. You do well where consistency compounds and where being the trusted ground is valued, and the configuration tends to mark people others build around.
In relationships, you bring the steadiness of solid ground — a trustworthy, carrying presence that does not tip with every wind. The same solidity can read as unexciting or immovable. The configuration's work is to let the steady nature be warmth rather than only weight, and to stay aware of the Wood that breaks it — protecting the solid wholeness from what would split it, and offering the dependable ground as shelter rather than mere stillness.
