The Constitution
A chart given over entirely to Fire. The day master is 丙 or 丁 Fire, the branches gather a Fire bureau (寅午戌) or the Southern direction (巳午未), and Fire so dominates the chart that the reading follows it rather than balancing it. This is one of the 一行得气格. 火曰炎上 — fire flames upward — and its nature is 礼, warmth, brightness, the drive to be visible and to illuminate.
A clean 炎上格 person carries that nature whole. Not Fire among other elements, but Fire as the entire chart: the radiance, the warmth, the declarative brightness running pure. The self is the single element, fully — luminous all the way through.
The formation runs with Fire, with the Wood that feeds it, and with the Earth that drains it cleanly; it is broken by Water, which conquers Fire and shatters the single-element purity. The reading is whether the Fire dominance is total and whether any Water threatens to break it.

The trap is Water breaking in. Water conquers Fire, and the single-element formation is fragile at its purity — a Water stem or a Water luck cycle quenches the dominance and turns the clean radiance to conflict. The work is to keep the formation pure and to recognize the Water that breaks it: the single element thrives by following its blazing nature and is endangered only by the force that puts it out.
